Cancellations & Refunds

1. General
All cancellation or refund requests must be made directly to Datsi School for Storytellers by emailing abilash.c@datsischool.com or submitting the official cancellation form available on our website.
The date your request is received by the School determines your refund eligibility. No third-party or verbal cancellations will be accepted.

2. Refund eligibility
Before the course begins

More than 14 days before start date: Full refund (minus ₹500 or 5% administrative fee).

Within 14 days of start date: 50% refund (after administrative deduction).
After the course begins

Within 7 days of start date: 25% refund (after administrative deduction).

After 7 days: No refund will be provided.
For online courses, the “start date” refers to the date access to the first session or learning module is granted.

3. Special circumstances
The School recognizes that unforeseen events may occur. Refunds or course credits beyond standard terms may be granted at the School’s discretion in exceptional cases, including but not limited to:

Verified medical emergencies preventing participation;

Bereavement in the immediate family;

Significant schedule, delivery, or format changes made by the School (e.g., cancellation or major postponement).
In these cases, the School may offer:

A partial or full refund, or
-
A transfer to a future batch or equivalent course at no additional cost.
Students must contact the School promptly and may be required to submit supporting documentation before a decision is made.

4. Refund process

Approved refunds are issued within 30 days via the original payment method.

Administrative fees and any learning materials already accessed, downloaded, or used are non-refundable.

Non-attendance without written notice is not considered a valid cancellation and will not qualify for a refund.

5. Transfers
Students may request to transfer to another course batch by contacting the School at least 14 days before the original start date, subject to seat availability. Late transfer requests may incur a fee or be declined.

6. Policy governance
This policy is governed by the laws of India.
The School reserves the right to revise this policy at any time. The most current version is always available on the official website.
